We have vast experience in working with the public and private sectors, including schools. As a family run business trading since 1990, we are committed to working with our customers to provide a service that is top quality, reliable, efficient and cost effective.
So what’s involved with a new build?
When we receive your tender issue drawings for your New Build we will provide a detailed breakdown of costs for each element of the build including a full description of works we propose to carry out.
Should you need help with the design of your New Build we currently employ a CAD Designer who has a wealth of experience in working with Building Standards. We can even provide Planning & Building Warrant drawings for your New Build should you need them.
At the start of the contract we will provide a programme of works detailing the length of time the build will take and when each aspect of the work will be executed. We will work with our customers to plan out the procedure for the build to meet their requirements but if the customer wishes to take a back seat then everything can be left to us!
Depending on who you have dealt with in the first instance when enquiring about your proposal, you will either be liaising with our Commercial Manager (Gary Wood) or our Project Development Manager (Steven Murray) for all matters concerning your project. Both are experienced professionals in what they do and are always available by phone or email to help you and to keep you updated as the project progresses. Our Sites Manager (Ian Donald Macdonald) is also an experienced professional in managing New Build projects and visits all of our sites at regular intervals to ensure that our projects run smoothly and meet the targets we have set. All of our projects also have a suitably trained working chargehand dedicated to the project for on-site daily management.
We are fully insured with Public Liability Insurance and Employer’s Liability Insurance to allow us to carry out New Build projects without the customer having to worry.
Planning application fees, Building Warrant fees and utility connection fees are usually arranged and paid for directly by the client. All other fees will be arranged and covered by us before being passed on to the customer.
We provide Joiners, Roofers, Bricklayers, Slaters & Roughcasters, Plumbers, Heating Engineers, Electricians, Painters, Tilers, Plasterers and Plant Operators. Any other specialist services can be arranged by us through our contacts.
Timber frame kit houses are the most common form of New Build for a house dwelling in the Western Isles and offer brilliant energy efficiency in comparison with more traditional house types such as block cavity. We have the machinery within our premises to manufacture bespoke Timber Frame Kit Houses and have successfully manufactured dozens of them over the previous decade.
Air Source heat pumps are our recommended heating system for a New Build house dwelling in the Western Isles. The RHI is set to go up to an all time high of 10.02p/kwh in Spring 2017 meaning excellent financial returns for the consumer and a reliable renewable heating system that is very energy efficient.
Kitchens & Bathrooms
We have a wealth of experience in installing kitchens and bathrooms through our continued commercial and domestic contracts over the previous 10-15 years. We work closely with our customers by liaising with our suppliers in order to find the most suitable solutions.
